Prayer for Healing, Comfort, and Restoration After Deep Trauma
Healing is not always immediate, and recovery is not always linear. But God is present in every moment of pain, and He is able to restore what has been broken.
“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 (KJV)
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 (KJV)
Heavenly Father,
I come before You on behalf of anyone carrying deep emotional pain from harm and injustice. You see every wound that cannot be seen, every tear cried in silence, and every burden carried alone.
Lord, draw near to the brokenhearted. Surround them with Your presence when memories feel heavy and when words are not enough to express what they feel. Bring healing where there has been deep hurt, and restoration where peace has been taken.
Father, replace shame with truth, fear with safety, and distress with Your perfect peace. Remind them that they are seen, loved, and valued by You.
Give strength for each day, courage for healing, and support through safe and compassionate people.
Where trust has been damaged, begin the process of rebuilding. Where the heart feels overwhelmed, bring calm and comfort. Where pain resurfaces, let Your presence bring stability.
We speak healing over mind, heart, and life in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
